Amarnath Yatra from July 1, registration starts from today, know the process

New Delhi: The registration for the Amarnath Yatra starting from July 1 has started from today. Officials said that registration for the 62-day holy pilgrimage in Jammu and Kashmir has started from Monday. The Union Territory government said the yatra will begin on July 1 this year and end on August 31, 2023. Registration has started for the Pahalgam track in the Anantnag district and Baltal in the Ganderbal district. People going on the journey can register online as well as offline mode.

Offline registration facility in these banks
Officials said offline registration can be done at 542 bank branches across the country, including 316 branches of Punjab National Bank, 90 branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, 37 branches of Yes Bank, and 99 branches of SBI Bank. Meanwhile, a new feature in the registration this year is the Aadhaar-based registration, wherein a thumb scan of the pilgrim will be taken for registration. As per the guidelines, persons in the age group of 13-70 years can register themselves for Amarnathji Yatra 2023, and a health certificate is mandatory for all pilgrims.

Interested people can register for Amarnath Yatra 2023 on the official website www.jksasb.nic.in.

Step 1- Visit the official website of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) i.e. www.jksasb.nic.in.

Step 2- Click on the Online Services tab and click on ‘Register’

Step 3- After this a new page will open.

Step 4- Enter all the required details and click on submit.

Step 5 – Enter the OTP received on the mobile phone.

Step 6 – Application processing will start and then an SMS will come to your phone.

Step 7 – Pay the application fee and then download the Yatra Permit.

At the same time, women with a pregnancy of 6 weeks or more are not allowed to travel. On 14 March, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, announced the dates for the holy pilgrimage, saying that the administration was committed to ensuring a smooth and hassle-free pilgrimage. He also said, “Hassle-free pilgrimage is the top priority of PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The administration will provide best-in-class healthcare and other necessary facilities to all visiting devotees and service providers. Telecom services will be made operational in advance.”

LG Manoj Sinha said, “All stakeholder departments are working in coordination to ensure the convenience of accommodation, electricity, water, security, and other arrangements for the smooth conduct of the yatra.” It has also ordered to implementation of strict measures for collection. The live telecast of morning and evening Aarti by Amarnathji Shrine Board will also be possible for devotees around the world.
