New Delhi: Kozhikode airport plane crashed on Friday in Kozhikode, Kerala. While landing at Karipur Airport in Kozhikode, the plane slipped on the runway and fell into the valley. 10 newborns were on board the plane
According to information received from Air India Express, this passenger coming from Dubai had 184 passengers including 10 newborns and six crew members. An NDRF team has been dispatched to Kozhikode for relief and rescue operations.

According to the information, the flight number of this flight is IX1344. The plane was flown from Dubai at 4.45 pm. The plane slipped off the runway and landed in the valley at 7.41 in the evening. The plane collapsed as it fell in the valley. According to reports, due to heavy rains in Kerala, there was waterlogging on the runway, due to which the plane overtook the runway and caused the accident.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan (Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan) has directed the police and the fire force to take immediate action in view of the plane crash at Kozhikode International Airport (CCJ) in Karipur after CM Vijayan gave a ruthless accident to the authorities. Officers have also been instructed to make necessary arrangements for rescue and medical aid.
