
Mumbai: Bollywood veteran actress Shashikala Jawalkar has passed away. She breathed her last at 12 noon on Sunday afternoon in a hospital in Mumbai. She was 88 years old. There is a wave of mourning in the Hindi film world after his death. Shashikala’s full name was Shashikala Jawalkar (Shashikala Jawalkar). She was born on August 4 in Solapur, Maharashtra. From the age of five, she used to dance, sing and act on stage in many towns in the Solapur district. She had six siblings. She played both the heroine and the villain of Bollywood in the 70s.

Sasikala was originally from Solapur. Her name before marriage was Sasikala Javalkar. From an early age, she loved dancing, acting and singing. She decided to enter the film world after his family’s economic situation was weak. She was seen in the scene of a qawwali in the film ‘Zeenat’. She was seen opposite Shammi Kapoor in the film ‘dacoit’.
Sasikala has been awarded several awards so far. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Aarti in 1962. In 1963, she won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for Misguided. In 2007, she was awarded the Padma Shri. In 2009, he was awarded the Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award.
