New Delhi: The 67th National Film Awards were announced on 22 March 2021. These awards will be distributed today i.e. on October 25 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Although the 67th National First Film Awards were to be announced earlier on 3 May 2020, they had to be postponed due to the Corona epidemic. Then on 22 March 2021, the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the awards. Let us tell you that National Awards have been given for the films made in the year 2019.
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s film ‘Chhichhore’ won the Best Film Award. On the other hand, talented actor Manoj Bajpayee got the best actor award, Kangana Ranaut got the best actress award. Kangana was given the award for the films ‘Manikarnika: Rani of Jhansi’ and ‘Panga’. The actress has won the National Award four times so far. She got three times for Best Actress and once for Supporting Role. Manoj Bajpayee jointly received the National Award for Best Actor for the film ‘Bhosale’ and actor Dhanush for the film ‘Asuran’.
South Actor Vijay Sethupathi won the Best Supporting Actor Award for the film ‘Super Deluxe’ and Actress Pallavi Joshi for the film ‘Tashkent Files’. Apart from this, the Best Male Playback Singer award for the song Teri Mitti from Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Kesari’ went to singer B. Prak won.
Malayalam film ‘Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea’ won the Best Film Award at the 67th National Film Awards. Superstar Mohanlal has played the lead role in this film. The same film also won the award for Best Special Effects, while the Telugu film ‘Maharshi’ starring Mahesh Babu was selected for the National Award for Best Choreography. At the same time, the Malayalam film ‘Jallikattu’ was given the National Award for Best Cinematography.
Let us tell you that the films that were certified by the Central Board of Film Certification from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2019, were given entry for award distribution. The last entry for the awards was kept till 17 February 2020.
