New Delhi: During the last 24 hours in India, 16,678 new cases of infection with coronavirus have been registered and 26 people have died. During this, 14,629 patients have become free from infection. With this, the total number of infected has gone up to 4,36,39,329. Now the number of active cases of corona in the country is 1,30,713. So far, a total of 4,29,83,162 patients have become healthy after being infected with Covid. The corona recovery rate in India is 98.5%. The Union Health Ministry has given this information.
However, the daily positivity rate has increased and has reached 5.99%. The active COVID-19 caseload has registered an increase of 2,023 cases in a 24-hour period. A day earlier, 18,257 new cases of the corona were reported in the country and 42 deaths occurred. The Union Health Ministry said that active cases are 0.29 percent of the total infection. The total number of people who died of corona in the country has gone up to 5,25,454. In India, the first death due to the corona pandemic occurred in March 2020.
So far 198.88 crore vaccine doses have been administered
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 86,68,88,980 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till July 10. Of these, 2,78,266 samples were tested on Sunday. A total of 198.88 crore vaccine doses have been applied so far to prevent coronavirus infection across the country. The weekly Covid-19 positivity rate in the country now stands at 4.18 percent.
These are the most corona affected states of the country
If we look at the states most affected by corona infection, so far 80,04,024 cases have been reported in Maharashtra and 1,47,976 people have died. Kerala is at number two. According to the data till Saturday, so far 66,73,029 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Kerala and 70,150 patients have died. Tamil Nadu is in the third position with 35,01,529 cases and 38,028 deaths and Karnataka with 39,79,021 cases and 40,081 deaths.
Which states are registering more cases of Covid?
The jump in the daily cases of corona infection in the country is being seen due to the increase in infections in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. There has been a jump in daily cases again in Maharashtra. On the previous day, 2,591 new cases of the corona were reported in the state. The good thing is that there was no death report. In Tamil Nadu, 2,537 new Covid cases were reported on the last day. At the same time, 2,884 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Kerala on Saturday. 942 new cases were reported in Karnataka.
