New Delhi: 14 opposition parties of the country filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Friday and said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) are being misused against the opposition political parties. Those who filed the petition include 14 political parties including Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, DMK, RJD and Trinamool Congress.

It has been alleged in the petition that the law enforcement investigative agencies are being misused by the central government. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petition. The matter will be heard on 5 April.

In the petition, the opposition parties say that the ED and the CBI are being used arbitrarily to arrest the leaders of the opposition. All 14 political parties say that democracy is in danger and we are not trying to influence any ongoing investigation.
