New Delhi: Honda has officially unveiled its much-anticipated entry into India’s electric two-wheeler market with the launch of the Activa e: and QC1 electric scooters. These models mark Honda’s bold foray into the rapidly growing EV segment, with deliveries commencing in a phased manner starting February 2025. The scooters will initially be available in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, with plans to expand to other cities later.
Activa e:: Honda’s Iconic Name Goes Electric
Honda’s Activa e: is a sleek, feature-packed electric scooter designed to cater to urban commuters.
Key Highlights
- Design: The Activa e: boasts a minimalist yet modern look with sleek LED headlamps, taillights, and 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
- Battery & Range: Powered by two 1.5kWh removable batteries, it delivers a range of 102 km. Battery swapping is facilitated through Honda’s dedicated swapping stations, though home charging isn’t an option.
- Performance: With a 6kW motor generating 22Nm torque, it accelerates from 0-60 km/h in 7.3 seconds. Riders can choose from three modes: Econ, Standard, and Sport, balancing performance and efficiency.

- Activa e: RoadSync Duo (Top Variant): Features advanced tech like smartphone connectivity, navigation, live tracking, topple alerts, and a 7-inch TFT screen.
- Base Variant: Equipped with a 5-inch TFT screen and standard features, omitting the connectivity options.
- Build & Comfort: Offering a ground clearance of 171mm, the Activa e: is built with telescopic front suspension and an adjustable hydraulic monoshock at the rear.
QC1: Compact, Affordable, and Practical
The Honda QC1 is a simpler alternative to the Activa e:, emphasizing practicality and affordability.

- Design: Similar in style to the Activa e: but without LED DRLs and featuring basic alloy wheels.
- Battery & Range: Equipped with a fixed 1.5kWh Lithium-ion battery offering a range of 80 km. The battery can charge from 0-80% in 4.5 hours using the included wall charger.
- Performance: A hub-mounted motor producing 1.8kW powers the scooter to a top speed of 50 km/h, with two riding modes: Standard and Econ.
- Comfort & Features: The QC1 includes a telescopic fork, dual rear shocks, a 5-inch LCD display, USB Type-C charging, and a spacious 26-liter under-seat storage.
