Bhopal: A deep low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal has reached near Chhattisgarh on Thursday. Monsoon Dronika (trough) is passing through Jabalpur. Due to these two systems, heavy rains are expected at many places in the state.
According to meteorologists, during the next 48 hours, heavy rains may also occur in Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Sagar and Indore divisions.
According to the Meteorological Center, from 8.30 am to 5:30 pm on Thursday, 30 in Indore, 27 in Ujjain, 20 in Khargone, 17 in Umaria, 11 in Ratlam, eight in Sidhi, six in Malajkhand, four in Pachmarhi, 2.9 in Gwalior. , Two in Damoh, Sagar, Khajuraho, Mandla, Betul received one mm of rain.
Heavy showers occurred in Bhopal after dusk. Senior meteorologist Ajay Shukla said that due to two systems being active, heavy rains are likely to occur in the state. Since Thursday night, showers have started falling in most areas of the state. Heavy rains are expected in Jabalpur, Bhopal, Hoshangabad on Friday and Sagar, Ujjain and Indore on Saturday. Heavy rains may also occur at some places.
