Haridwar Kumbh starts from today, entry in fair only after showing corona negative report

Haridwar: The Haridwar Kumbh Mela (Haridwar Kumbh) has started on Thursday, on the first day a checking drive was carried out from the railway station to the bus station. Commissioner Garhwal Mandal Ravinath Raman on Thursday observed the passenger amenities and arrangements for Kovid check in view of Mahakumbh at Haridwar railway station. Along with this, after reaching Narsan Border, Roorkee bus station, and railway station, Covid checks those coming to Haridwar from outside states, took stock of other facilities. Explain that devotees will get entry RTPCR report at the fair only if it is shown negative.

The Commissioner reached the station and inquired about the number of passengers coming there every day. The station superintendent told the Garhwal commissioner that about 10 thousand passengers come daily, on whether the commissioner is coming with the RTPCR inquiry report of the passengers or not. On this, the station superintendent informed that not all passengers are coming with the report. The Mandalayukta gave clear instructions that it should be ensured that in every case, passengers bring 72 hours back RTPCR negative test report and bring medical certificate only. The Mandalayukta also instructed that if the passengers have booked the tickets well in advance, they should be allowed to sit on the train only when there is a negative report of the RTPCR inquiry at the journey commencing station.

If even then a passenger arrives at the railway station without a Covid negative report, then the Kovid should be allowed to come to the fair area only after it is tested and negative. He also visited the male-female waiting room at Haridwar railway station, besides arranging for the inspection of passenger facilities, Yatri Niwas, drinking water, toilets and Kovid vaccination room. He gave instructions to make proper arrangements for drinking water in the waiting room.

After this, the divisional commissioner took information from District Magistrate C Ravi Shankar and Joint Magistrate Roorkee Namami Bansal about the registration of buses and passengers coming from private buses and other vehicles, RTPCR investigation, COVID 19 negative report, and medical certificate, etc. What arrangements have been made on the availability of Kovid positive for a passenger? The commissioner directed to bring a board of information related to bringing negative reports of RTPCR to Narsan border. Where he instructed to increase the counters of Kovid Testing, to create isolation rooms for someone positive when they come. He also instructed to install five more mobile toilets in the bus station premises.
