New Delhi: Corona Virus was a long-standing suspicion about vaccine prices. But on Sunday, Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of Serum Institute of India, has spoken about the price of the vaccine. He said that the Oxford vaccine would be given to the government for 200 rupees. At the same time, the public will get this vaccine for 1 thousand rupees. The vaccine covishield of Oxford-Estrazanica is being produced at the Serum Institute, Pune. Significantly, the Drug Controller General of India has given permission for emergency use to Kovishield on Sunday.

A vaccine program will be started soon in India. The government has also made preparations for this. On Saturday, a dry run was done in all the states and union territories of the country. Apart from the Indian government, the European Union has also come forward to help vaccine manufacturers. The EU has helped to increase vaccine manufacturing and ease distribution.

Serum Institute, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, said that they are making 50-60 million doses of Oxfort-Estrazanica vaccine every month. The company has said that this vaccine is cheaper than Pfizer-BioNotech and transportation is also easy. It is special that India has targeted to vaccinate more than 130 crore people by the middle of 2021.
