Stockholm: This year’s Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to French writer Anne Arnoux. The Nobel Committee noted that Arnoux (82) is noted for her writings, “with courage and figurative acumen to uncover the inners, systems, and collective constraints of individual memory”. Mats Malm, Permanent Secretary of the Swedish Academy, announced the winner on Thursday in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced on Friday and the Nobel Prize for Economics will be announced on 10 October.
