Hong Kong: A fire in a residential area of Hong Kong has killed seven people. Also, 12 people are reported injured. Officials gave this information. A fire broke out in Yau Ma Tei on Sunday night, according to a police report.
The area has many apartments, shops and commercial establishments. Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam said in a statement after the incident that she was “deeply saddened by the news of the fire in Yau Ma Tei, which killed and injured many people.” Pictures of the scene being shown on local broadcaster TVB show several people being carried on stretchers and in ambulances.
