Cairo: According to big news, a huge fire broke out in an Egyptian church. The fire caused a stir in the entire campus. It is being told that about 41 have died due to this fire. Giving information about this, the Coptic Church of Egypt has said that at least 41 people were killed and 14 others were injured in a fire in a church in Cairo. At the same time, the church, citing health officials for the casualties, said that the fire started in the densely populated area of Imbaba, Abu Sefeen Church.
As of now, it is not known what caused the fire. At the same time, the police say that prima facie, it appears that this fire has started due to an electrical short-circuit. The statement said the fire started on Sunday morning while the gathering was going on.
President expressed condolences
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi spoke on the phone with Coptic Christian Pope Tawadros II about the tragedy in the church, the president’s office said. He expressed grief over the incident. President al-Sisi wrote on Facebook: “I am closely following the developments of this tragic accident. I directed all the concerned state agencies and institutions to take all necessary measures and deal with this accident and its effects immediately.”
