Mumbai: A railway station set will soon be set up as an outdoor shooting location in Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari, popularly known as Film City in Mumbai. Giving this information, an official said that a tender will be issued soon for this work.

Managing Director of Maharashtra Film, Theatre, Cultural Development Corporation Avinash Dhakane said that the location for the railway station set has been selected. According to him, the filmmakers were constantly demanding that there should be a railway station set for the shoot as it is difficult to get permission to shoot at actual railway stations.

“Shooting of the film at railway stations may lead to traffic jams and inconvenience to passengers as well,” he said,” Dhakane informed that apart from this, 16 existing indoor studios in Film City are being upgraded in a phased manner. He said that process is on to develop a portal for Marathi screenwriters looking for good production houses to upload their scripts.
