New Delhi: Meta-owned social media platform Facebook processed more than 1.75 crore content in India in the month of May. In its latest monthly report, the company has stated that it has taken action under 13 violation categories in India during the month of May.

The report said that the content that was taken against them fell under categories such as harassment, pressure, violence or graphic content, adult nudity, sexual activity, endangering children, dangerous organizations and individuals, and spam. “Taking action may mean removing any content from Facebook or Instagram, or covering up and adding warnings to images and videos that some may find disturbing,” the report said.

Instagram processed about 4.1 million posts in May
The monthly report on India said that between May 1 and May 31, 2022, Facebook has taken action against 1.75 crore content under various categories, while Instagram’s other platform, Instagram, has taken action against about 41 lakh content in 12 categories during the same period.
