Election over! Corona restrictions announced in Bengal, shops closed, 7 to 10 haats to be opened

New Delhi: The state government has announced restrictions to stop the Corona infection, a day after voting for the assembly elections in West Bengal is over. According to the information given by ANI, shopping complexes, malls, beauty parlor, cinema hall, restaurant, bar, gym, and sports complex have been closed. Only markets and haats have been allowed to open in the morning and evening shifts, but a limited period has also been given for this. Markets and Haats will open from 7 am to 10 am in the morning, while in the evening it is allowed to open from 3 to 5 pm. The last phase of voting in the Bengal assembly elections was held on Thursday, in which more than 70 percent of the votes were cast.

According to the order, at present the gathering of people to participate in all social, cultural, educational, entertainment related programs is prohibited in the state. The markets will open twice a day from 7 am to 10 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm. It has been said in the order that the procedures related to counting of votes and the rally of victory will be according to the protocol of the Election Commission. Drug shops, medical equipment, grocery stores and home delivery services are excluded from the order. A senior official said, “Restrictions will continue until the administration re-reviews the situation.” Those violating the order will be prosecuted under the appropriate sections of the law.

The state health department said that due to lack of dose of Covid-19 vaccine in West Bengal, people from 18 to 44 years of vaccination will not start from Saturday. He informed that vaccination of people above 44 years of age, however, will continue depending on the availability of doses at various centers. Let us know that the third phase of vaccination is being started in the country on Saturday, in which the vaccine is to be given to people between the age of 18 to 44 years.

According to the West Bengal Health Department, the state has reported the highest 17,411 new cases of corona virus infection in the last 24 hours, while 96 patients have been killed due to infection. The West Bengal government on Thursday demanded from the Center that at least three crore doses of the vaccine be made available for the government and private hospitals of the state.
