New Delhi: The Meteorological Department (IMD) has given information about Cyclone Gulab. IMD officials say that Cyclone Gulab made landfall in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. Now on Tuesday, he can turn into a deep pressure and weaken. But by the end of the week, it may turn into a new cyclone. Due to this, there may be heavy rain in many states.

The cyclonic storm is expected to intensify into a low-pressure area on Tuesday and re-emerge in the northeast over the Arabian Sea and Gujarat coast around Thursday. Officials said that this process is likely to intensify on Friday, which could lead to cyclone Shaheen in the area.

According to the Hindustan Times report, Sunita Devi, in charge of cyclone affairs in IMD, says, ‘Although it is less likely, we cannot rule out the possibility of it intensifying into a cyclone. The low-pressure area or the remaining part of the Gulab Cyclone will move westwards over central India, causing heavy rainfall in the region. It will cross Maharashtra and Gujarat as a low-pressure system. The arrival of moisture from the Arabian Sea will revive the system. The intensification of the low-pressure system cannot be ruled out right now as the ocean and atmospheric conditions are favorable for it. The cyclone will move towards the northern parts of the Arabian Sea.

According to the Meteorological Department, the winds are likely to intensify on the west coast in the next two to three days. The Meteorological Department said that the Monsoon Trough is currently located to the south of its normal position and is likely to persist for the next four to five days.
