New Delhi: Corona infection is increasing rapidly in the country in a terrible way. On the one hand, while some states are complaining about the lack of vaccine, on the other hand, the number of cases is increasing at a rapid pace. According to information provided by the Union Ministry of Health, new cases of Covid-19 are increasing daily in 10 states of the country.
These states – Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Rajasthan are included. Here the daily cases of Covid-19 are increasing rapidly and 92.82 percent of the new cases of infection reported in the country are in these states. On Friday, the Health Ministry said that daily cases in the country continue to rise.
A total of 1,31,968 new cases were registered in the country, which is the highest number of cases reported in a single day so far. Maharashtra recorded the highest number of 56,286 new cases. After this, 10,652 new cases were reported in Chhattisgarh and 8,474 new cases in Uttar Pradesh.
In India, 9,79,608 people are still infected with corona and this accounts for 7.50 percent of the total cases of infection in the country. In the last 24 hours, 69,289 patients have increased in total infected patients.
The ministry said that 73.24 percent of patients from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala comprise the total number of patients infected in the country. Maharashtra alone accounts for 53.84 percent of the total cases of infection.
After 61,899 people in the country have recovered from this disease during the last 24 hours, 1,19,13,292 people have become healthy so far. At the same time, 780 more people died during the same period. 92.82 percent of the new cases of deaths have also occurred in 10 states. Maharashtra recorded the highest number of deaths at 376, while 94 people died in Chhattisgarh.
According to the ministry, not a single death occurred in 12 states and union territories in the last 24 hours. These include Rajasthan, Assam, Ladakh, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Manipur, Lakshadweep, Mizoram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Arunachal Pradesh. A total of 9.43 crore Covid-19 vaccines have been given in the country.
According to the provisional report till 7 am, 9,43,34,262 vaccines have been given through 14,28,500 sessions. Of these, 89,74,511 health personnel have been given the first dose and 54,49,151 health workers have been given the second dose while 98,10,164 personnel of the advance front have also been given the first dose of vaccine and 45,43,954 have been given the second dose.
Apart from this, the first dose was given to 3,75,68,033 beneficiaries over the age of 60 years and the second dose to 13,61,367 beneficiaries. At the same time, the first and second doses of 2,61,03,814 and 5,23,268 were given to the beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years respectively.
The ministry said that 60 percent of the total doses given in the country so far have been given in eight states. 36 lakh vaccines have been given during the last 24 hours.
The Ministry said, “India ranks number one worldwide in terms of daily doses of vaccines with an average of 37,94,328 doses daily.”
