Covid test will be done from Covihome for only 300 rupees
Researchers have developed the country’s first rapid electronic COVID-19 test kit based on AI technology. It is named Covihom. Covid-19 can be tested through this test kit at a very low cost, just Rs 300, sitting at home. It is possible to get the test result of RTPCR within just 30 minutes through the test kit.
The test report will be received on your smartphone
The result of the test is found on the Android-based smartphone through the Covihome test kit. Not only this, but researchers have also developed a mobile app called i-Covid for this. The specialty of the Covid home test kit is that it does not require an RTPCR machine, lab, or expert human resource, but through this, the test result of RTPCR level is obtained.
As effective as the RT-PCR test
Hyderabad-based Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology has termed this test kit as effective up to 94.2 percent. Through a smartphone-based Covihom test kit, covid-19 can be tested at home without any expert supervision. After the mass production of this test kit, it will be possible to conduct a Covid test for just Rs 300.
The electronic test kit is reliable
RT-PCR Test i.e. Reverse Transcription Polymers Chain Reaction Test. Through this test, the RNA of the virus in the person’s body is examined. During the test, samples need to be taken from many parts of the body. Most samples for testing are taken through swabs from the inner lining of the mucosa from the nose and throat. It is considered to be the most reliable in testing technology so far.
It usually takes 6 to 8 hours or more for the RT PCR test report to come. The RT PCR test can detect the presence of the virus in a person’s body. This is the reason that even though some people do not show symptoms of the coronavirus, this test comes positive. The accuracy of Kovihome is also being told like the RT-PCR test.
