Budapest: Parts of Eastern Europe, the Corona Virus recorded a spurt on Friday in some parts of Eastern Europe, and countries such as Hungary and the Czech Republic reported the highest number of cases ever in a single day. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said his government was drafting a “war plan” to protect against the second round of the epidemic.

He said that the purpose of the scheme is “not for everyone to stay at home and bring the country to a halt … but to defend Hungary’s efficiency.” Orban said measures would be announced in the coming weeks to protect the economy and trigger growth. Hungary’s GDP declined by 13.6 percent in the second quarter of the year. In Hungary, masking or covering of the face is mandatory in public transport, shops, and public institutions. 718 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Hungary on Friday. This number is 142 more than the maximum number of cases reported in a single day before this. At the same time, 1,382 new cases have been reported in the Czech Republic, which is 200 more than the one-day high. Masks have been made mandatory in public places once again in the country.

On Friday, 594 new cases were confirmed in Poland. In the past few days, between 400-500 new cases were coming in the country. Montenegro was the first European country to declare itself coronavirus free in June. But there has also been a spurt in new cases. Seeing an increase in infection cases in neighboring Austria, the government announced that it would again implement strict measures.
