The increasing cases of corona can be gauged from the fact that more than 50 thousand new cases of corona are now coming up every day. According to the Health Ministry data, 80 percent of new corona cases have come from six states Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat. There have been 59,118 new cases of Carona virus infection across the country in the last 24 hours, while 257 people have died. After the arrival of new cases, the total number of infected patients in the country has gone to one crore 18 lakh 46 thousand 652.
According to the Health Ministry, 1 crore 12 lakh 64 thousand 637 people have been recovered in the country so far, while at present there are 4 lakh 21 thousand 66 active cases. After the deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of dead in the country has increased to 1 lakh 60 thousand 949. According to ICMR, 11,00,756 corona investigations have been done in the country within the last 24 hours.
The total number of infected people increased to 26,00,833 after 35,952 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in one day in Maharashtra on Thursday. According to the health department, there have been more than one lakh cases of infection in the state in the last four days. Apart from this, on Thursday, the number of dead has increased to 53,795 after the death of 111 people due to infection. After recovering from the infection in the state, 20,444 people were discharged, after which the number of cured people has increased to 22,83,037. The number of patients undergoing treatment is 2,62,685. The city of Mumbai also has the highest number of 5,505 new cases of infection in a single day.
1,254 new cases of corona were reported in Delhi
On Wednesday, 1,254 new cases of Corona virus infection were reported in Delhi, which is the highest number of daily reported cases in more than three months. According to the health department, six more patients died due to this epidemic. There are still 4,890 patients undergoing treatment. After the arrival of new cases of infection, the total cases increased to 6,51,227 and so far 6.35 lakh people have been cured.
1,961 new cases of corona reported in Gujarat
On Thursday, 1,961 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Gujarat and with this, the total number of people affected by the epidemic in the state has increased to 2,94,130. According to the Health Department, a record number of new cases of infections are coming in the state every day since 22 March. On Wednesday, 1,790 new cases of the epidemic were reported in the state. The department said that seven more patients died due to infection on Thursday, taking the total number of people lost to the epidemic in the state to 4,473.
