According to the news agency Bloomberg, Chinese authorities on Wednesday closed the area around the world’s largest iPhone factory till November 9, that is, the lockdown has been issued in these areas because the workers working in the company have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak and They have fled from there to avoid tough restrictions. The local administration gave information about this. It is believed that the supply of iPhones can also be affected by this.

The government said that no vehicle is allowed to operate in these areas except for carrying essential goods. Not only this, people can get out of the house only in case of corona tests and medical emergencies. Apart from this, there will also be a ban on leaving the house. Actually, this decision has been taken at a time when 359 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the Zhengzhou area on Tuesday, while the figure was just 95 a day ago.

A large number of employees have distanced themselves from production work due to the spread of coronavirus infection at the iPhone manufacturing plant of giant phone maker Apple in Zhengzhou in China. The factory in Zhengzhou is the largest manufacturing center for Apple’s most popular product, the iPhone. Foxconn operates this plant with about two lakh employees.

An employee, on the condition of anonymity, said that there are reports of employees posted on the assembly lines of the factory getting infected continuously. In such a situation, the employees are feeling apprehensive about their lives and have started leaving production work. However, it has been said by Foxconn that the workers working in the factory have no contact with outsiders and the management is adopting a ‘closed-loop’ method to control the infection.

Foxconn has also not given information about the number of infected employees and the modalities of their treatment. In the context of the impact on iPhone manufacturing due to the increase in Kovid infection, Foxconn said that it will coordinate with other factories to allay any such apprehensions. It is not clear how many workers of this factory have left, but according to information available on Zhengzhou factory workers and social media forums, about one lakh employees of Foxconn’s factory have left.
