Mumbai: Currently, the second wave of Corona in the country is creating a huge uproar. Due to this, there is a shortage of life-saving medicines like Remdisivir. But now according to the news, the Modi government has increased the supply budget of Maharashtra for this drug used in the treatment of patients with this infection.
On this issue, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has stated that the state will now get 4.35 lakh vials (small vials) of Remdesivir medicine from the Center from April 21 to 30. Not only this, Thackeray has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for accepting the state’s demand for increasing the supply.
To this, Chief Minister Thackeray said that “The present supply was 2.69 lakh vials, which has now been increased to 4.35 lakh vials.” He said that the state government has also received a letter in this regard from the Union Ministry of Health.

Uddhav government awaits court permission for use of confiscated vials:
Here, the Uddhav government of Maharashtra is now awaiting court permission for 5,000 vials of Remdesivir drug seized by the state’s security agencies. An official said the vials were confiscated by the FDA and the police department during raids in various parts of Maharashtra in March and April. At the same time, a senior FDA official said, “We seized 5,000 vials of Remdesivir during the raid. However, we cannot give it ourselves for use, because only the court will allow it. ”
But to the contrary, an official of the Health Department said that at present, there is little possibility that the Central Government will increase the allocation of the state of Maharashtra right now because the cases of corona infection are increasing in other states of the country. But here the letter given by the Modi government to the Maharashtra government is telling a different story.
