New Delhi: While many sectors in the country are still trying to recover from the Coronavirus Pandemic epidemic, there has been a bumper jump in smartphone sales. Research firm IDC said on Friday that shipments in the smartphone market in India rose 17 percent to 54.3 million units in the September quarter, while year-on-year in markets such as China and the US. But declined.
IDC, however, said in its report that after achieving annual growth in the Indian smartphone market for many years, it is projected to decline slightly this year on a year-on-year basis.

IDC said, “In the top three smartphone markets, only India has grown, while both China and the US have seen declines during the July-September 2020 quarter. During this time, 54.3 million handsets arrived, an increase of 17 percent year-on-year.
Xiaomi has the highest market share
According to IDC, the top 5 smartphone sellers in India are Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Realme, and Oppo. The report said that the increase was due to festive demand. Xiaomi accounted for the largest share of 25 percent in the September quarter, followed by Samsung, Vivo, Realme, I phone, and Oppo.
