Mumbai: The news of the Mumbai Police receiving a call threatening a bomb blast in Mumbai has come to the fore ahead of Diwali. Threats of bomb blasts were made on the phone at three places including Andheri and Juhu in Mumbai. This phone came on police helpline number 112. The person who spoke on this phone told that there will be bomb blasts at Infinity Mall in Andheri, PVR Mall in Juhu, and Sahara Hotel Airport. The police are yet to find out who made this call. But after this call, Mumbai Police has become alert.
According to a report in ABP Live, the call came to the Mumbai Police on helpline number 112. ABP has said in its report that, sources said that this call came at 10.30 pm on Tuesday night. No information has been received yet about who made this call to the police. Mumbai Police is searching for the callers. The police machinery has been alerted after this call. According to the locations mentioned on the call, different teams of police have started investigations. So far the police have not found any explosives or suspicious objects at that place.
Received threatening mail before
Earlier, on October 2, an email was received at the Mumbai airport’s feedback email id, threatening to explode a flight. At that time the authorities launched a search operation and it was found that the threat of terrorist attack was a hoax with the intention of creating panic. The police had also registered a case in this matter.
