Sudden explosion
According to General Collins AG, a community leader and chairman of the Supreme Council of Oil and Gas Production Areas in Imo, a sudden explosion was heard in the woods between the states of Imo and Rivers. This is unfortunate. This is such a tragedy that no one could have imagined that till now around 108 burnt dead bodies have been counted.
Talking about this, he further said that such illegal oil refineries work by exploiting crude oil from pipelines owned by oil companies and distilled into products in improvised tanks. There are frequent reports of oil pipeline sabotage and oil theft in Nigeria causing huge economic losses. This blast has caused a lot of lives, which cannot be compensated.
