Now the information related to this will be updated on the website of ‘The Financial Action Task Force’ (FATF). At the same time, the official announcement to remove Pakistan from the gray list of FATF will be made in the meeting to be held in October.
The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is a body that works internationally. It makes every effort to prevent financial crime internationally.
Pakistan was accused of money laundering and financial assistance to terrorists in their country. After this Pakistan was put on the gray list. Let us tell you that in the country which is put on the gray list of FATF, its monitoring increases. It is also called an increased monitoring list.
As of March 2022, a total of 23 countries were on the gray list. It includes Pakistan as well as Syria, Turkey, Myanmar, Philippines, South Sudan, Uganda, Yemen, etc. The gray list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) does not have the same restrictions as the black list. But, from this list the rest of the countries become alert.
