According to a report in India Today, Amazon CEO Andy Jesse recently confirmed that the company is going to lay off employees in the coming months. However, he did not say how many employees the company would lay off. In November, The New York Times reported that the company was planning to lay off 10,000 employees. Significantly, Facebook’s parent company Meta had retrenched employees in the past. Apart from this, many other companies have fired employees.
