New Delhi: The Ministry of Health has informed today i.e. on Friday that the booster dose of Corona Vaccine will start this coming Sunday. Under this, now all persons above the age of 18 years will be able to get a precautionary third dose or booster dose from April 10 at private vaccination centers. It is worth noting that this booster dose will be for adults above 18 years of age and for adults who have completed the second dose for 9 months.
At present, this vigilance dose is being applied only to health workers, frontline workers, and all people above 60 years of age in the country. However, earlier only people above 60 years of age suffering from serious diseases were being given vigilance doses. Later, the condition of critical illness was removed from it. Along with this, children of 12 to 14 years have also been included in the vaccination campaign, they are also being vaccinated.
Remind that the vaccination campaign in India started on 16 January 2021. Then in the initial phase of this campaign, the first dose of the vaccine was given to health workers. After this, a vaccination campaign was started in India for all people above the age of 45 years from April 1, 2021. Then in May 2021, people aged 18 years and above were also allowed to apply this essential corona vaccine.
