Mexico City: The Medical Safety Commission of the Government of Mexico has approved the use of the Corona virus vaccine manufactured by Pfizer / Bioentech in emergencies. Mexico is the fourth country to approve this vaccine, after Britain, Canada and Bahrain. Assistant Foreign Minister Hugo Lopez Gatel said that the vaccine was approved by Mexico on Friday.

Gatell stated that Mexico would receive 2,50,000 doses of the vaccine, which would be sufficient for 1,25,000 people, because one person had to be given two doses of the vaccine. He informed that first frontline health workers will be vaccinated. Gatel said vaccination could begin next week. There are a total of 12,29,379 cases of corona virus in Mexico, while a total of 1,13,019 people have died due to infection here.
