Kanpur: According to news, ‘Vibhram’, made by Endure Air, an incubated company of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), is now going to join the Indian Army’s Northern Command fleet soon. Know that this is one of the best drones ever made. This drone is also being displayed as a major indigenous technology at the NorthTech Symposium 2002 of the Northern Command to be held at Udhampur on 6th and 7th May.
Developed with special indigenous technology
Giving information about the ‘Vibhram’, IIT Director Prof. Abhay Karandikar told that, it has been developed by the team of Professor Abhishek and Endure Air from the Department of Aerospace Engineering of the institute. Vibhram was made about a year and a half ago. It is designed in the shape of a small helicopter. Also, this is the first drone that is fully capable of carrying more than 5 kg of luggage for a maximum distance along with surveillance.
Let us inform you that last year three awards were received by this drone. The awards were won in an online competition by the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the US. The UAVs (Unmanned Aircraft) of many other countries were involved in this drone combat. In this, Australia, America, China, England, Israel, France, etc. were most prominent.
What are its special features?
- ‘Vibhram’ is made with completely indigenous technology.
- It is shaped like a small helicopter.
- ‘Vibhram’ has been made in electric and petrol versions.
- Fully capable of monitoring storms, storms, and inclement weather on high hills, plains, and long distances.
- Delivering emergency aid would also be easier than ‘delusion’.
- The electric version of the Vibhram can fly up to an altitude of 18,000 feet.
- It is also capable of surveillance with the help of a camera.
- It also has a silencer to stop the sound.
