Dubai: The International Cricket Council today released the annual ranks of T20 International teams. In the latest rankings released by the ICC, the Indian team has reached the top position in T20. After becoming the captain of Rohit Sharma, Team India performed brilliantly in T20 International matches. Earlier, India’s performance in the T20 World Cup played in the United Arab Emirates last year was very disappointing. In the T20 World Cup, the Indian team was out of the first round. But after taking over the command of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team has performed tremendously in T20 International matches. After which Team India once again managed to reach the top in the shortest format of cricket.
If we look at the latest rankings released by the ICC for men’s teams, then the Indian team is in the first place with 270 rating points. England has 265 points and is at number two. Apart from this, Pakistan is third with 261 points, South Africa fourth with 253 points, Australia fifth with 251 rating points, New Zealand sixth with 250 points, West Indies seventh with 240 points, Bangladesh eighth with 233 points, 230 points Sri Lanka is ninth and Afghanistan’s team is at number 10 with 226 rating points.
After becoming the captain of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team has performed amazingly in T20 International cricket. After the T20 World Cup, India played a series of 3 T20 Internationals against New Zealand, which they won 3–0. After this, India played a series of 3 T20 matches against the West Indies, which they won 3-0. Indian cricket team last played T20 series against Sri Lanka. In this 3-match series, India defeated Sri Lanka 3-0. In this way, India has whitewashed the opposition teams in the last three T20 series. Team India has won 9 consecutive T20 International matches under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
