Panna: In a shocking incident that has rocked the tribal community in Panna district, Madhya Pradesh, three members of a family were brutally murdered in what appears to be a deadly culmination of a longstanding feud. The incident, which occurred on Thursday near the Simaria police station area, approximately 100 km from the district headquarters, has left the village of Kadhna in turmoil.

According to reports, a violent clash broke out between two rival groups, leading to the brutal deaths of Arjun Singh, 60, his son Govind Singh, 30, and their relative Dhoop Singh, 45. The victims were reportedly beaten to death with sticks by a group of attackers, highlighting the intensity of the animosity that had been brewing for some time.

Authorities have suggested two possible motives behind the heinous crime. One theory revolves around allegations of black magic, a practice that has historically led to violent confrontations in certain tribal regions. The other theory points to an old rivalry that finally boiled over into lethal violence.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Aarti Singh confirmed the details of the attack, stating that the victims were targeted due to the long-standing enmity between the two groups. The police have acted swiftly in response, arresting one of the two main suspects, identified as Tilak Singh, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the other involved individuals.

In the wake of the murders, tension has gripped Kadhna village, prompting the deployment of a heavy police presence to prevent any further escalation. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families after post-mortem examinations on Friday. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover the full extent of the events that led to this tragic loss of life.

This incident underscores the deep-rooted conflicts that still plague parts of rural India, where old rivalries and superstitions can sometimes lead to devastating outcomes.
