New Delhi: The Corona Virus (Covid-19 Pandemic) crisis is again deepening in the country. Double Mutant Variant of Coronavirus has been found in 18 states of the country. The Health Ministry gave its information on Wednesday. According to the ministry, the new variant of Corona is many times more deadly than the old one.
In a press note, the Union Ministry of Health stated that a total of 771 COVID-19 variants (VOCs) have been detected so far in a total of 10,787 positive samples shared by states and union territories.
According to the Ministry, ‘These include 736 samples for the UK (B.1.1.7) virus. 34 samples have also been found positive for the virus of South African (B.1.351). One sample is of Brazil (P.1) variant, which has been found positive. Samples of these VOCs have been identified in 18 states of the country.
What does double mutant variant mean?
Explain that a person has to be infected with two different variants (type) of corona virus by double mutant variant. In simple words, it can be called a double infection of the corona. The first such case in the world came in Brazil. In Brazil, two patients were found to be infected with two different variants of the corona virus simultaneously.
This was revealed in the research of experts from Feevale University in Brazil. The names of these variants are named P.1 and P.2, while the second patient was found infected with P.2 and B.1.91 variants of the corona. However, this discovery by Brazilian scientists has not been independently confirmed.
81% of double variants in 401 new samples in Punjab
The new variant of Coronavirus in Punjab has created fear and agitation in the minds of the people. This variant comes from the UK. Out of 401 new samples taken recently, this variant has been found in 81% of the sample. The National Center for Disease Control of Delhi has found that in 81 percent of the samples, new variants have been identified as B 1.1.7. People are very upset due to the arrival of new variants in Punjab. To check whether this virus is spreading rapidly due to high stress, the government is keeping an eye on testing.
