DRDO successfully tests laser-guided tank destroyer missile

New Delhi: The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully conducted a nationally developed laser guided tank Destroyer Missile from a firing range at Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. . Officials gave this information on Wednesday.

He said the missile can hit a distance of four kilometers. As part of the experimental test, the missile was fired from an MBT Arjun tank at KK range located at Armed Corps Center and School in Ahmednagar on Tuesday.

Officials said that the laser-guided tank destroyer missile (ATGM) is expected to significantly increase the Indian Army’s combat power, especially along the borders with Pakistan and China. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh (Rajnath SIngh) tweeted and congratulated DRDO on successful pilot testing of ATGM.

Officials said ATGM targets with absolute accuracy. The Arjun tank is the third-generation main battle tank developed by DRDO. The Pune-based Ordnance Research and Development Establishment has developed the missile in collaboration with the High Energy Materials Research Laboratory and Equipment Research and Development Establishment.
