10,350 mobiles worth more than 15 crores seized, three crooks arrested

Dewas(MP): In joint action with Andhra Pradesh Police, Dewas Police has seized 10,350 mobiles worth more than Rs 15 crore. In this case, arrested three crooks and exposed the interstate highway dacoit gang, but 12 are still absconding. These mobiles have been seized from other places including Pune, Indore.

Dewas SP Dr Shivdayal Singh said on Tuesday that four lakh cases of loot were registered in Tonkkhurd on 20 July and 35 lakh on 21 July. Police searched Pune, Mumbai, Indore, Bhopal and other cities. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, reached out to miscreants with the help of Maharashtra Police.

In this case, the police arrested 26-year-old Ram Gade son Gaurav Gade resident Beed, Pune (Maharashtra), 25-year-old Ankit Jhanjha son Rajababu resident Dhanighati Hatpipalya and 25-year-old Rohit Jhala son Bhuria resident Chidavad, Tonkkhurd (Dewas).

On their spotlight, 10,350 mobiles worth more than Rs 15 crore were seized from different locations. SP Singh said that by tying or injuring the driver-cleaner, the crooks carried out the robbery. Two mini trucks, two trucks, one car and four bikes (worth around one crore rupees) were seized from the miscreants. In this case, more than a dozen crooks of Dewas district are named, who are being searched.

He ran businesses from other cities of the country including Indore, Mumbai, where IMEI on mobile was swapped and supplied to the international market. It is being further investigated. Ram used to steal mobiles and change their IMII numbers and sell them in the market. Seized mobiles belong to large companies. Inspector Sadiq Ali of Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh was camping in Dewas for a month with the team. He said that on August 15 and 25 in the Chittoor district, the loot occurred.
