Lucknow: The Maha Kumbh Mela, deeply rooted in Indian tradition, stands as the largest peaceful congregation of people worldwide. Millions of devotees gather to immerse themselves in the sacred waters of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati, seeking purification of the soul and the ultimate goal of Moksha (liberation).
2. Preparations Unveiled:
The Yogi government is leaving no stone unturned in its preparations for the Maha Kumbh-2025. Here’s what’s in store:
- Tent City and Grand Gates: A tent city will rise, providing comfortable accommodation for devotees. Thirty grand gates, adorned with religious themes, will welcome pilgrims to the fair area.
- Sanskriti Gram (Cultural Village): A unique Sanskriti Gram spanning five acres will showcase cultural and historical elements through augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences.
- Media Center: A grand media center, covering 4,800 square meters, will be established. It aims to host eminent journalists and media institutions from India and abroad. Equipped with world-class facilities, this center will operate 24/7 during the Maha Kumbh.
3. The Magnificent Media Center:
- Height and Construction: The proposed media center will soar 22 feet high, constructed using engineered aluminum German hanger technology.
- Facilities: Within its walls, you’ll find:
- Workstations: Over 500 seating capacity for journalists.
- VIP Lounge, Studio, and Conference Area: Spaces for interviews, discussions, and broadcasts.
- Grand Entry and Exit Gates: A majestic welcome and exit.
- Thematic Front Facade: Showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage.
- High-Speed Internet and Wi-Fi: Enabling seamless live feed access and uploads.
- Soundproof Press Briefing Area: Ensuring clarity during media interactions.
- Storm-Resistant Hangar: Capable of withstanding winds up to 100 kilometers per hour.
- Hygiene and Security: Housekeeping and uniformed security staff will maintain order.
4. Operational Period and Investment:
The media center will operate from January 10 to February 26, 2025, with the possibility of extension. An estimated ₹5 crore will be invested in this state-of-the-art facility.
5. Journalists’ Hub:
The media center will accommodate 500 journalists at a time, while the hangar can host over 1,000 people, ensuring high standards of hygiene and comfort.
